On the spine of my book, you’ll see the name of the publishing company I created for my books, “For the Good Publishing.”
The name is based on a Bible verse, Romans 8:28 (NIV),
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
My hope is for The God Layer book to work “for the good” in two ways:
First, as you read it, may God work His good in your life and in your work. I would love to hear stories about the “faith lessons” God is teaching you. You can contact me by email, phone, text, or send me a message through this website.
The other way I hope this book works for the good is I’ve committed to donate 90% of the profits from this first book to two organizations here on Oahu:
The River of Life Mission, and

As I wrote this first book, I was keenly aware that it’s God’s book, so any profits are also His. The decision to “reverse tithe” 90% of the book’s profits to Him is a way to remind me to stay humble and thankful. Jesus taught in Matthew 6:19-20 (NLT),
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.”
As a real estate agent, I mostly work with homeowners, or those who have the hope and means to become homeowners. I sometimes interact with tenants. But there are many in our community who aren’t in a position to have a safe, constant place to call home. They are the precious clients of these two nonprofit organizations. My heart is to support their ministry and efforts. Thank you for contributing to their work with your pre-order of the book for yourself and others!
If you would like more of what you pay for this book to go to these organizations, where you choose to pre-order your copy of the book makes a difference. JPL Books is my mainland book distributor—we can give more to River of Life and Makaha Community Center if you order through their website. Mahalo!
